Opening hours :

The Holy place of Emmaus is open for individual or group visits:

Monday through Friday:

 from 8:30 am to 12 pm and from 2:30 pm to 5.30 pm 

( 5 pm in winter)

Saturday: from 8:30 am to 5.30 pm (5 pm in winter)

Sunday: Open for prayer only, please reserve in advance

Closed on Yom Kippur, Christmas (December 25) and Holy Friday

Entrance fee: 7 shekels per person, children free.

Guide's services

Groups of 10 adults and more can ask for a guided tour of the archaeological site or  for a meeting with a member of the Community of the Beatitudes. Please reserve in advance.

Holy Mass celebrations

The place is open for Holy Mass celebrations. Please book in advance. You can also join the Community  of the Beatitudes residing on the  spot for its celebrations.

How to get to Emmaus:

Emmaus is situated at Latrun junction, the entrance is from the highway # 3.

from Jerusalem: take the Egged bus #430 or #433 to Latrun junction, the bus stop is near the highway bridge. Emmaus is across the road from the bus station. Alternatively, take the Kavim bus #109 to Latrun junction. The bus stop is next to the Emmaus site entrance.

from Tel-Aviv:  take a Kavim bus or a train to Modi'in. From Modi'in, take the Kavim bus # 885 or the Tnufa bus #118 to Latrun junction, next to the highway bridge. Emmaus is across the road from the bus station.
